Make a Smile is a charity, in which volunteers dress up as well-known children's characters (often princesses and superheroes) and visit children affected by hardship. 

We've done work in the past with children in hospitals, children with disabilities or hearing difficulties, and refugees.

Make a Smile was founded by Luke Morgan, a medical student from Cardiff. It started with a group of University friends, keen to make a difference to the lives of children in the city. 

We are always looking for more people to get involved. Whether you want to make a donation, become a volunteer or fundraise for us, we're always open to help! If you run an organisation that would like to help us with our aims, why not become a partner. 

We aim to be as flexible as possible. Each child is considered as an individual by the committee. Any child that's been affected by hardship, be it illness, disability or deprivation, we want to visit!

We try to customise visits as best as possible to what you want. We're always open to suggestions. Often we can come to chat and interact with the children, book reading, arts and crafts, sing-alongs and much, much more.

Make a Smile is a free service. In order to keep this service free, we rely on donations. These donations go towards new costumes, maintaining and repairing costumes, travel and training.
